WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
Our Video Audition process consists of 2 essential parts- a written cover letter and a video audition. We strive to provide students with life-skills that will help them book jobs in their future dance careers! It is not only about the audition, it is about the presentation and the professional look!
The EPA audition process is meant to identify a future PREP & C member's strengths, weaknesses, and their desire and genuine passion to join the program. At EPA, we value a genuine desire to learn, versatility, and style, and we wish to see that in our audition! Show your personality and your professionalism!
The video process is divided into 3 stages: INTRODUCTION/AUDITION VIDEO/CLOSING STATEMENT. Below you will find a description of what we are looking for.
AUDITION VIDEO: (Choose 2 styles from the list below and perform a 45 second - 1 minute solo of each one. Your solo should have a beginning and an end, and should showcase your strengths, flexibility, turning ability, and jumps. Remember you are trying to impress and show your artistry and quality of movement.)
Are you willing to cross-train in multiple styles?
Are you currently finishing dance commitments before joining EPA? If yes, please explain.
What is your availability?
HOW TO UPLOAD AND SHARE THE VIDEO.
We will be accepting Audition Video Links. Once you have pieced together the video portion of your audition (both solos into one video), you can Upload your video to a YouTube Channel, Google Drive, or other video platform of your preference, and send us the link to view. We DO NOT need the video to be posted publicly for it to be viewed.
