We understand that transitioning to a new competitive home is a major decision that requires discretion, and scheduling conflicts can make in-person attendance difficult. Our video audition process provides a seamless, confidential way for talented dancers from other programs to showcase their skills from afar. If you are currently finishing up a dance commitment at another studio, simply let us know your contract end date in your submission forms so we can ensure a smooth, professional transition into the EPA family.

Are you ready to take your training to the next level? We are officially accepting audition video submissions for our prestigious Pre-Professional & Competitive (PREP & C) Program for the upcoming season!

At Expose Performing Arts (EPA), our audition process is designed to set dancers up for real-world success. We don’t just look at technique—we value a genuine passion for growth, versatility, and professional presentation. Show us your unique style and personality!

🚨 Submission Deadline: All video auditions must be submitted by July 18th, 2026.

📋 The Audition Process

Your video audition consists of two essential parts: a Video Submission and a Written Cover Letter.

Part 1: The Video Submission

Please combine the following three stages into one single video file:

• Stage 1: The Introduction

  • State your name and age.

  • Share your total years of dancing, your strongest dance style, and the style you want to improve the most.

• Stage 2: The Audition Routine

  • Select two styles from this list: Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Tap, or Hip-Hop.

  • Perform a 45-second to 1-minute solo for each chosen style.

  • Tip: Ensure your routines have a clear beginning and end, highlighting your artistry, flexibility, turns, and jumps.

• Stage 3: The Closing Statement

  • Briefly answer: Are you willing to cross-train in multiple styles? What is your general weekly availability? Are you currently finishing up existing dance commitments?

Part 2: The Written Cover Letter

In a separate document, please thoughtfully answer the following questions to help us understand your professional goals:

1. What inspires you to be a part of EPA, and why are you interested in joining this program?

2. What are your short-term goals within the program and your long-term professional goals?

3. How do you intend to balance your school life with a rigorous dance schedule?

4. How do you believe EPA will help you achieve your goals, and ultimately—why do you dance?

👗 Audition Requirements & Attire

Treat this video as a professional commercial casting call!

• Dance Attire: Wear form-fitting dancewear that allows our directors to clearly evaluate your alignment, technique, and movement.

• Strictly Prohibited: No oversized pants, shirts, or sweatshirts that cover technical details.

• Footwear: Tap shoes must be worn for the tap portion of your audition.

• Note: A placement ballet audition will be performed in person upon program acceptance to determine your exact company level.

📤 How to Submit Your Application

1. Upload Your Video

Upload your completed video to YouTube, Google Drive, or your preferred video hosting platform.

• Privacy Tip: If using YouTube, you can set the video privacy to "Unlisted." This keeps your audition private from the public, but allows our directors to view it using your direct link.

2. Include Your Contact Details

Please paste the following information into your submission email:

• Dancer Info: Full Name, Age, Gender, Date of Birth, and Years of Experience (include styles & previous studios).

• Parent/Guardian Info: Full Name, Address, Phone Number, and Email Address.

• Privacy Notice: Your information is strictly confidential and will only be used internally for studio enrollment purposes.

3. Send It In!
