THE ARTISTIC STAFF

Below we present to you our wonderful Summer and Fall Staff. At Expose Performing Arts we believe in networking and building long-lasting connections between our studio and others. During our Summer Session, we bring in guests that will teach unique styles and fun combinations to expand our students' growth and versatility. During the fall our resident instructors will take charge of leading the instruction of our classes and team.

MR. JOHN A. BONILLA - ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/OWNER, INSTRUCTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER

JAZZ-LYRICAL-CONTEMPORARY-MODERN-HIP HOP-BALLROOM-SALSA-JAZZ FUNK-LATIN FUSION-VOGUE-MUSICAL THEATER

A seasoned and passionate elite choreographer and teacher in the industry. With over 28 years of experience, Mr. Bonilla is an SDA and IDA award-winning choreographer. With a wide background on the performing arts and dance competition world he's had the opportunity to work with artists, choreograph for movies, the Miss Virginia Pageant, Miss Puerto Rico Universe and dance competition teams. His famous "Harry Potter" in Juventud Vibra 2013 awarded him the opportunity to choreograph multiple shows overseas in Barcelona, Spain as well as recent work in Canada, New York, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Through his hard work and dedication, he is the proud recipient of multiple choreography awards in both Puerto Rico and the United States. Through a combination of talents, John has developed his own Costume Design line "Royalty Costumes by John Bonilla", as well as a music editing style that is unique to his vision. He presently serves as an Adjudicator for StarQuest and StarPower Dance Competitions.

Mr. Bonilla has dedicated himself to charitable causes, educating and helping children as a spokesperson in campaigns against drug usage and overcoming abuse. As the owner of Expose Performing Arts, he leads by example through his craft and as a caring father. His ultimate goal is "to train the body, mind, soul and stimulate the performing abilities of dancers so they will have a full balance between artistry and technique."
